13–17 August 2025, Lviv National Philharmonic
Summer International Conducting Academy with Theodore Kuсhar in Lviv is a unique space where young conductors have the opportunity to work with one of the best orchestras in Ukraine and improve their skills under the guidance of world-renowned Maestro.
During five days you won't just study — you'll rehearse with a professional symphony orchestra, guided by the experienced and passionate Theodore Kuchar, who has been directing young conductors for many years.
In addition to hands-on rehearsals with the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra, participants will engage in lectures, discussions, and culminate their experience with a final concert in the Liudkevych Concert Hall of the Lviv Philharmonic. Participation in SICA is free of charge.
This isn’t just a masterclass — it’s a deep dive into the artistic process. You’ll have the freedom to ask questions, take creative risks, make mistakes, and grow from them.
And all of that — in the heart of incredible Lviv.
You will have 5 rehearsals with the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the best symphony orchestras in the country. Also, don't lose sight of your participation in the final SICA concert and the new video in your portfolio.
SICA is not only about practical skills and conducting. It's about a community of people who are united by their love of music. Here you can be yourself, have space to search for new ideas and collaborations.
An important part of SICA is the educational component for young musicians. That is why we invited three speakers - successful conductors and music managers - to share their rich experience in building themselves as successful artists and conscious musicians.
